This notice explains how Primestar Heating ("we", "us") uses personal information when you contact us or use this website.
Who we are
Primestar Heating is the trading name of Marinel Marian, a self-employed gas, heating and plumbing engineer based in Stanmore, London, who is the controller of your information. Contact: [email protected], 07591 825675.
What we collect
- What you send through the contact form: your name, phone number, email address, postcode, the type of job, whether it's an emergency and your message.
- What you send on WhatsApp, by phone or by email, including photos of your boiler, HIU or pipework.
- If you become a customer: the address of the job and the details needed to quote, carry out and invoice the work, including gas safety records the law requires.
Why we use it, and the legal basis
- To reply to your enquiry and give you a price: steps you asked us to take before a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
- To carry out and invoice the work, and keep the records gas safety and tax law require: contract (Article 6(1)(b)) and legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).
- To keep this website secure and working: our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)).
We don't use your details for marketing and we don't sell them.
Who helps us
These providers handle information for us, only on our instructions:
- Cloudflare, which hosts this website and processes form submissions.
- Resend, which delivers the form to our email inbox.
- Afaceri Diaspora Ltd, which built and maintains this website and keeps a copy of form messages so none are lost.
- WhatsApp (Meta) and our email provider, when you contact us that way.
- Google, only if you choose to load the map of the area we cover.
Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't lead to work are deleted within 12 months. If you become a customer, we keep job and invoice records for six years, as tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it or ask us to restrict it. Email [email protected]. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
Our own pages set no cookies and use no analytics or advertising. The Google map loads only if you allow it; when it does, Google may set cookies. See the cookie notice.
